HL - Celebrating the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Korea (15<br>
August 1945), members of the Korean Amateur Radio League's Chungbuk<br>
HQ (6K0MF) will be active as HL81V on 1-31 August.<br>
PY - Team PQ1I (namely PY8WW, PY7RP and PY4AZ) will be active from Ilha<br>
das Garcas (SA-067) on 24-26 July, IOTA Contest included. They will<br>
operate SSB, CW and FT8 with two stations. QSL via Club Log's OQRS<br>
and LoTW.<br>
RI1F - Due to unforeseen circumstances, the RI1FJL DXpedition schedule<br>
[425DXN 1812] schedule has changed. The team is now set to depart<br>
from Murmansk on 7 August, with an expected arrival on Heiss Island<br>
(EU-019), Franz Josef Land, on 15 August. Plans are for six opera-<br>
tors to be QRV on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and FT8 (MSHV) with at<br>
least five high-power stations for 15 days. QSL via Club Log's<br>

TA - Golkem, TA7AZC and Emre, TA7EK will be active as YM7KK/0 from<br>
Giresun Island (AS-154) during the IOTA Contest on 26 July. With no<br>
local power grid, the station will run entirely on battery power<br>
and portable antenna systems.<br>
TK - The TK5SI operation from the Sanguinaires Islands (EU-104) [425DXN<br>
1833] has been postponed to 27-28 July. Toni, F5RAB and Gil, F4FET<br>
will operate FT8 (MSHV), SSB and CW on 20, 17, 15, 10 and 6 metres.<br>
They are not allowed to overnight on the island, so this will be a<br>
daytime (indicatively 07:00-16:30 UTC), battery powered "micro-<br>
expedition". QSL via Club Log's OQRS (preferred) and LoTW, or via<br>
F8GGV.<br>
UA - After a rough sea passage, the Arctic's Legends IOTA DXpedition<br>
team hit the airwaves from Novaya Zemlya (EU-035) as RT25AA on 21<br>
July. In just 21 hours, they logged nearly 5,000 QSOs, split evenly<br>
Between FT8 and CW. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or via R7AA. Next<br>
stop is Vize Island (AS-055), where they will be QRV as RI0BW.<br>

VK9X - The Pacific Islands DXpedition Group (PIDXG) and Youth on the Air<br>
(YOTA) have announced the VK9XY DXpedition to Christmas Island (OC-<br>
002), running from 16 November to 4 December.<br>
Young operators have expanded their roles in recent years - advanc-<br>
ing from remote operations on Rotuma (3D2Y) to on-island team par-<br>
ticipation on Saba (PJ6Y) - and will now take full charge of plan-<br>
ning, leading, and operating the VK9XY DXpedition.<br>
The eight-person on-island crew will consist entirely of operators<br>
under the age of 25. Confirmed team members include N4ML (team<br>
leader), W4IPC, NT1S, LY7J, and 7Q6UJ, with the final roster spots<br>
set to be filled in the coming weeks. Veteran DXpeditioners W0GJ<br>
and W6IZT will provide on-site guidance and mentorship.<br>
The station plan calls for 4 local stations, two remote NexGenRiB2<br>
stations operating over Starlink, and a portable QO-100 satellite<br>
station. Activity will be on 160-6 meters, and will include partic-<br>
ipation in the CQ WW DX CW Contest. QSL via M0OXO's OQRS.<br>

CQ DX Hall of Fame inductee (1987), and former IARU Region 3 Director (1968-<br>
1975) Kiyoshi "Kan" Mizoguchi, JA1BK, passed away on 23 May at the age of<br>
93. A towering figure in the amateur radio community, he was instrumental in<br>
identifying new DXCC entities and leading or joining their inaugural activa-<br>
tions, including the Marquesas, the Austral Islands, the Chesterfield Is-<br>
lands, Ducie Island, and Swains Island. His lasting contributions to DXing<br>
also include establishing and endowing "The DX Log Archive" programme at the<br>
ARRL to preserve historical paper logs from rare and significant DXpedi-<br>
tions.<br>
