GREAT LOTTERY NEWS FROM THE COVID-19 ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

On a bright Sunday in Helsinki, Finland the lottery tickets for the June 2020 COVID-19 event, were placed in a bowl and Elli, the 10-year old Miss Fortuna, proceeded to draw the winning tickets.

When the dust had settled and the fanfare has finished echoing into the room, Elli was holding the winning ticket, which will launch the lucky winner on a trip to either Brazil or Finland, her homeland.

Congratulations to the lucky winner of the A10 ticket:
FRED CURTIS, G3SVK

Then it was time to combine the tickets A and B where the qualified STAYHOME/STAYSAFE operators joined those high performing sixty-three (63) individuals for drawing a top-of-the-line YAESU FTdx101D transceiver.

Congratulations to the lucky winner of the B7 ticket:
WEERAPAT TANGKLEANG, E29TGW of Thailand

And finally the high performing nighty four (94) STAYHOME/STAYSAFE operators with more than 1000 QSO were up to draw a Yaesu FT-891 transceiver, exclusively among themselves.

We thank all of the 18838 different stations that made this once in the lifetime event, a wonderful ham radio weekend.
We hope that we were able to elevate the STAYHOME/STAYSAFE message together with a sense of belonging thus sharing the pain and stress that we all had and some of us still experiencing due to this worldwide crisis.
We would also want to pay respect to those fellow amateur radio operators and their families and friends that have lost their lives during this unfortunate pandemic.
