Depois de quase uma década de funcionamento o Satélite OSCAR 52 lançado em
2005 foi permanentemente tirado de serviço ontem 21/07 pois as baterias de
lithium pifaram.
A espaçonave completou perto de 50.000 órbitas, com previsão inicial de 1
ano de funcionamento.
Todos os esforços possíveis foram efetuados para tentar revive-lo porém sem
sucesso.
O comunicado da ARRL informando o "falecimento" do VO-52 segue abaixo.
