I offer the following challenge.
US and European stations (soon to be joined by Canadian and Australian stations) are experimenting with CW and Digital transmissions on the 600 meter (band 505 to 515 KC).
It is hoped that the extended ground wave transmitting range will offer reliable emergency hurricane communications if an amateur band is created here.

Below is a summary of the time the first US experimental licensee (WD2XSH) has contributed to the effort.

But there have not been any reports to the www.500kc.com web site from South America.
Since your group can copy CW, you would be the people to check and see if you can hear or copy automatically (using ARGO from www.weaksignals.com) the signals from Europe or the US.

The latest list of active stations is available at www.500kc.com. The WD2XSH stations are listed by assigned frequency. Non-WD2XSH stations are also listed.

So the challenge is to see if your members with 600 meter receive capability can copy and report 600 meter CW & QRSS signals and prove or disprove emergency communications capability.

WD2XSH/6 runs from about 0000 GMT until about 06:00 gmt. 
WD2XSH/12 & 15 are now full time.
